Re: Project High School Reunion

With the nice weather, I got the inner fenders and core support painted.

Also fully stripped the cab, no rust and will be all original gm metal. Even the window channels don’t even have a start if rust.

Re: Project High School Reunion

Been really busy with work. Got the cab all ready for media blasting. There were holes from a cb, aftermarket gauges, switches, dual fuel tank switch, old floor shifter hole from my youth, and several firewall holes from an aftermarket a/c.

Got the cab off, started tearing the front end off

Got the cab back from the media blaster, got it blasted inside and out and epoxy primer.

All gm metal, now the hard work begins

Re: Project High School Reunion

Very nice job on the truck! I really like your color choice, sort like the original Copper Poly but much darker. Is that your CNC machine in the picture, if so what type?

Re: Project High School Reunion

Thanks tigger,

I have been swamped with work and haven’t been on here or the truck.
Finally spent a few days on her and I am back on 4 wheels!

I put cpp dropped spindles and drop rear springs.

Now I need to get the engine tranny and brake lines in.

Re: Project High School Reunion

Good work! Glad to hear you made it through that ordeal alright. One of my best friends had a double bypass last year, and feels so much better now that his pipes have been cleaned out his blood flow is so much better. I hope you can say what he says, "I feel like a new man"... I'll be watching for more updates!

Re: Project High School Reunion

Cab is getting close for paint and install in the frame,
Inside and top is block sanded and ready for paint.

Made a cart to get it off the ground so I can get the bottom half block sanded and then paint!

Re: Project High School Reunion

Getting paint on the cab and it back on the frame is such a big motivator. Glad you are still working on it.

Re: Project High School Reunion

Yep, gotta finish it this year. It is so close, all the body panels are in primer, so once the cab is done it should go faster, there is a lot of real estate on the cab to prep.

Thank you for the support
