One more question. Do you know if 1973 control arms (a friend has a set laying around) are they same as control arms from later c10 trucks?
To the best of my knowledge they are the same from '73-87 on C10 pickups(late '87,88 was new body style.) However they are the same up to 1990 for 2WD 1/2T suburban, 3/4T and 1T 2WD trucks will also interchange from '67-'90 or maybe even 1991. I know somewhere before the '64 to 66 model, the lower control arms are different on the 3/4t and 1 ton than the '67 and up.

Re: |Lower Control arm shaft problem.

I forgot to mention it is a 1973 2wd blazer, but I guess from your answer they are all the same.

Re: |Lower Control arm shaft problem.

Sounds like you have what you need.

What I would do:

New Bushings for the '73 blazer arms(upper and lower)
New upper and lower Ball joints for the truck you have
Install new ball joints and bushings in donor control arms, install spindle/disc brake kit with a tandem master cylinder/proportioning valve and split the front brake lines.

You'll be happy with the results.
