Re: Somebody needs to have a talk with this guy's wife...
You know, my wife would never try to do something like that to me. First, because she's nice, and second, well... I guess there is no second. She's just nice, and nice people just generally don't try to control other people. I can't imagine being married to someone like that. Why, it makes my blood boil just thinking about it!

Re: Somebody needs to have a talk with this guy's wife...
That's funny you say that. It's one of my techniques although I usually wait for a time when she wants a high dollar item like a saddle or something for the horses. I then say "while were on the subject....." Problem is I tend to buy things and THEN run it past her. It seems to work better that way. Sometimes I have to put together a good presentation but the '67 Fastback was an easy sell. She had one when she was 16.

Re: Somebody needs to have a talk with this guy's wife...
I'd guess that it didnt have power steering or automatic tranny ! so she didnt want to drive it !!!! If it had plenty of power an both mentioned parts im sure He would have to ask her when He could get it back? to make his run to the parts store !!! Also might need to have A/c added

Re: Somebody needs to have a talk with this guy's wife...
ok im gonna get my licks in on the wife talk. mine tried to blow-up my 85 s10 with a carbed 2.8, she is too young and has never had to deal with pumpint the throtle a coupple of times before and while cranking the engine. she was cranking and cranking i said give 'er some gas and she put it to the mat!!!!!!!! then kept cranking after the engine had started!!!. but that being said she does hang out in the garage and will bring me a wrench when it is inconvienent for me to get to, and goes to the junk yard (wearing flip flops??) and has never asked me to sell anything i have, but most of my stuff is kinda special to me and she knows that, if i had something random that we didnt really need or want then id have no problem selling anyway. i love my wife.

Re: Somebody needs to have a talk with this guy's wife...
My wife encourages me to buy old cars/trucks and fix them up.. She's the 1 who told me to buy my work truck so that I wouldn't have to drive my 68 everyday
