Re: post all bagged c10 here
Not sure if this is the right thread for this question but a quick answer would be: It depends on what tire size your planning on running, The top most part of your rearend is dependant on the radius of your tire. I say build the notch as small as necessary for strength. You need to bust out da tape measure and start making it work.

Re: post all bagged c10 here
Not even close to layin frame but here is a pic of mine.
This is as low as I could go without modifying the inners fenders and bed. Basically, I have a little less than an inch of clearance from the pumpkin to the lower side of the bed and from the top of the tire to the inner fenders up front.

Re: post all bagged c10 here
You are correct. In the front - 73-87 style front x-member swap, 2" drop spindles with the bag cups cut down to about 1". In the rear - axle flip, de-arched leaf springs, air-over leaf bags similar to N2TRUX's and a bolt-in notch that was welded in. I set my bump stops at the height set in the picture but could get well over an inch lower with the current set-up except for the box and inner fenders getting in the way.
