Re: Jebb's Project 1959 GMC
Thanks for checking in guys.
Thanks 55, I wish I were as far along as you are! Man you truck is coming together fast!! It looks awsome. I am going to try to borrow some of your ideas on my truck. Hope ya don't mind Brad, He is going to start parting out cars. If I can keep this pace up she will be on the road fairly soon. Yesterday my Dad was helping me get the pressed in bushings out of the lower A-arms. We tried everything Air Chizzle, Hammers, you name it then he had the brilliant idea of pushing them out with a bottle jack. This works like a charm but watch you limbs!! When the pressure builds up enough to get it out it goes off like a shot gun! My Dad, My brother in law and me were like kids with a potato gun.

Re: Jebb's Project 1959 GMC
Sorry guys another update with no pictures. I am having camara issues again, I did want to drop in and give a quick line or 2. Today I finished cleaning and painting the last of the parts before being ready to put the front end together. To strech my budget a little I have decided to run the spindles and calipers that were on the truck. I need to finish installing all the bushings and then it's ready to go back together. The spindles and calapers cleaned up really nice. I will post pics when I can.
I am starting fase 2 tomorrow, when I fly out to pick up the parts rig and drive her 1,600 miles back home. Seems like it will be an adventure to say the least. Wish me luck, I will take lots of pictures of the trip.

Re: Jebb's Project 1959 GMC
For me this is a major achievement. I did this in just over 1 month!
Before After Up next will be putting the rotars, calipers and so forth on. The next purchese will be an upgraded "Power Steering Pro's" quick ratio non power steering box. Stay tuned!

Thanks for checking in guys!
When it comes to brake parts you can't really skimp. Hopefully once I get past the front end most of the big money items will be behind me.

Re: Jebb's Project 1959 GMC
I decided just the other day that if I am going to have to run her in black primer for a while I might as well go full on Rat Rod style until I can paint it. Got these wheels at the junk yard for $13 a piece!
