Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
Thanks, I really dig the way his truck is, the stance is perfect. Going after that old school rough chopper/ hot rod look but with a c10

Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
Oh, found out today a bunch of us are gonna have c10's at World of Wheels. It's in March at Bartle Hall downtown. Look for the Black 67 GMC, we'll buy you a beer! Also, if you FB, look up MO C10 Addiction.

Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
Your Day 2 approach is cool. Really like the truck and the other cars too. I also think it's cool that you're keeping the long bed a long bed - good name, haha.

Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
I like that you painted your heads orange instead of leaving them bare. It's a good look. Curious why you went from your Cal Custom style valve covers to the MT's?
Going to be a fun ride when you have set up like you have described.

Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
Motor is all set and done getting it dyno'd, after the first of the year hoping for 450's hp. Started taring the truck down for the winter overhaul and getting the drop going and making some head way.

Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
Got the motor ready to come out(waiting for the weekend) but the lowering kit and disc brake swap is trickling in. Plus painted up a quick wall hanger. (needs Breezes)

Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
Didn't post much lately made a ton of progress on the wrong bed pulled the old drive-line out with the wife on new years eve. Then stripped the front end down and started on cleaning the rails and frame plus all the parts. Starting on the reassembly, chipping away after work and weekends. I'm hoping to have the the front end together by next week and then start on the rear with the intention of a roller by the beginning of Feb.

Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
Making steady progress on the clean up and drop. The steering and sway bar is in plus some other lose ends going back together. The biggest hold up is this damn cold snap that is holding up painting the core support (tried and the thing wrinkled). So I have to sand it all back down to bare metal.

Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
With the cold snap did a light night on the wrong bed so I got the drop spindles and brakes assembled plus unmasked the painted lower grill and aged it slightly to match the truck.

Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
Last night after work I got the rest of the front end reassembled and back on the ground. Its gonna settle 1" more once the drive-line is back in totaling 4.5". Still have to finish the 1/2" fuel line conversion and then time to turn the truck around and start on the rear drop and refresh.

Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
By the looks of this picture you got your centerlink is in backwards.
The inner tie rod nuts should be on the FRONT side of the centerlink. Swap the centerlink end-for-end and put the inner tie rods on the back side. It will drive twitchy if you leave it this way. Plus it’s not correct. Love this build. Especially all the detail and painting the bottom of the grille orange.

Re: The Wrong Bed C10 build
Got a little more accomplished last night 1/2" AN fuel system is almost set. I have to pull the tank this week-end for those modifications to make it 100%. Found a cool bezel in my junk to use on my 8-track thats been on the truck since 74! Then time to turn the truck around and start on the rear 5" drop.

What did it actually make on the dyno? Come on man, you can't say it's going and not post numbers.
