Truck really kept it's shape well. The structural engineers earned their keep I would say.

Hope you are feeling 100% ASAP.

That must be one helluva scary experience. I'm glad to hear you're ok. I'll be the 10th or so person to say at least look into what it would cost to buy it back. I'd bet you'd be surprised.

Happy to hear you walked away.

Must have been interesting getting it up the bank and onto a flatbed.

Good luck.

Talk about a flashback, that happened to me this past November, I had to be flown to the hospital though. I woke up two days later. Your truck is rebuildable from what I can see, the frame looks straight and some of the body panels still look usable. I almost wrote mine off, but last week I said what the heck, frame is still straight and it runs. I'll have the new cab on it by the end of next week.

Glad that you are OK. Health is the most important thing. Get your neck checked out well before you assume its fine. I was rear ended and initially thought I was OK - six weeks later I was back at work (after going through physical therapy). Wasn't really back to 100% until 5 years later when I went to a chiropracter and finally got straightened out.

Hope you are fine and that all this works out well in the end.

Have an appt with the insurance co on monday. I will see what happens then. Only way I would buy it back is if someone were to buy the whole truck off me.

Ouch glad to see your o.k. I too would try to buy back the truck though they may give you one hell of a deal and you could then use the parts on another project...

Glad you are ok.

Like the other folks have said. You are lucky you were in one of these. I had a tree limb from a hurricane fall on my Silverado, six grand later it was repaired. The truck is fixable. Hope you get better soon. Kerry

No news yet, have to wait for the estimater to call me with an offer.
If I get the right amount of $$$ I will just take it and wash my hands of the truck. I dont have time, or space to part the truck and selling parts is something Ive always hated. Very unlikely the truck will be crushed since I have $4k in receipts for it in parts in 1.5yrs (never, EVER add up your receipts ). It will go to a wrecker and be parted out or sold and rebuilt. I will see what the option is to buy the truck back but unless its so cheap I cant refuse I wont do it. This was just a driver to me. I still have another 70 C10 which is my baby. I talked the the insurance lady today and she tried to get me to sign a salvage release form that lets them sell the truck even before the claim is settled. No bloody way I am going to sign that!!
Hopefully the next few days I will know what is going to happen.
Cheers.

How difficult would it be to trailer a wrecked truck out of Vancouver BC Canada to Washington USA?

Glad you are okay. Thanks for sharing pics. I've wondered about roll-overs and how the roof would stand up. Makes me feel a little better about having my 6 & 4 year old daughters ride with me...now I need those shoulder belts to install.

Again, glad you are okay. No amount of $$$ or parts can make up for your health. Take care, D.

The insurance co is trying to rip me off to total loss the truck so looks like I either have to get it appraised or take a cash settlement and keep my truck to sell/part it. Neck still hurts but it is getting better.
Cheers.

CoryM,

Maybe I can help. DO NOT settle for what the insurance co. starts off with! FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!!

i was originally offered $1700 for my 4runner when I rolled it. I ended up getting $7500 when all was said and done.

took 3 months and lots of pain in arse, but don't let up. it is worth it.
