Re: Dropmembered trucks
I've bought Nates dropmember for the front of my '65 short wide. I just ordered the rear drop on trailing arms from him last week. Can't wait to get this stuff and start slamming!

Re: Dropmembered trucks
Not a truck but still loaded up with DM goodness. Og Dm front on ART strong arms and McGaughy's spindles. Rear is welded in bolt in DM rear notch/4link/panhard. It's currently residing on my 4 post lift with the frame hanging 2" BELOW the decks. Josh

Hey Nate, on a 67-72, how much does a 28 inch front tire versus a 29 inch tire affect the turning radius and clearance to run super low ride height (assuming a 5-5.5in backspace and a 8.5" wheel)?...ie. I know it will clear but is a 29 a pain? |

Re: Dropmembered trucks
The extra inch diameter of tire will yield .5" less clearance at the fender lip. What's your definition of "super low"? You might kiss the fender at lock to lock when the truck is 2.5-3" off the ground. Hope that's low enough to cruise and turn at!

Re: Dropmembered trucks
Hey dm guys I'm missing out on this awesome thread. Does anyone know how to upload pictures from iPhone to this website? Or is it even possible? I would like to share my dm truck. I would like to start build thread also. Have thousands of pictures. I know pictures are like gold on here. Truck is on nates website (Erics GMC) truck has come along ways since those pictures. Guess I could ask Nate if do a build thread on his site. Lol!

Re: Dropmembered trucks
Here is mine, been driving it for a few weeks now, I purposely left the drive train and front clip on it while doing the dropmeber so it wouldn't escalate into another unfinished personal project.

Re: Dropmembered trucks
I just went through the thread and let me say it's great to be a Member. Putting in a Dropmember does seem to inspire a lot of other things/ideas to happen. My truck has been apart for a year now. Like shaving the firewall, cleaning up the engine, etc. I went with the C4 front Dropmember, I re-working my rear notch for the C4 IRS. Now I'm installing trailing arms that I just got from Nate. I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. It has been a lot of fun and I have learned a lot like how to weld.
