Re: 60-66 Bench Seat Pictures
mine is a 91 chevy truck bench cut down and covered with black vinyl and houndstooth... Getting the seat closer to the floor makes it nice and roomy..

After looking at yours, I'm guessing the one I have would be from a 91 model or close to it. the bases look the same to me, what are your thoughts?

Re: 60-66 Bench Seat Pictures
Looks the same... My base is just shorter because it was cut down... I like the seat because its thinner than the stock seat and allows more room... I'm 6'1 245 lbs...

Re: 60-66 Bench Seat Pictures
That is a 88-98 Chev truck seat. They fit any of the 55-87 Chev trucks very well.

Re: 60-66 Bench Seat Pictures
From all these threads I started with the idea of having a bone stock with a slight height adjustment. Now its different year brakes, seats, gas tank moved, different engine, transmission.
The aliens are in my head and they are telling me to do what the voices in my wifes head are saying. hahahaha Nah, I'm really liking this thread because its giving me some cool ideas for seats. I really like the mexican blanket look to an extent, but since I live in Indian country maybe an indian blanket might go over well. A pendelton to be exact. http://www.crazycrow.com/Merchant2/m...de=200-100-000 Wow, until I saw the price. Holly Molly |

Re: 60-66 Bench Seat Pictures
I like this seat also.....the black vinyl and houndstooth is what's in my Camaro. I've heard that the houndstooth material is expensive. What was your opinion c10addict?

Re: 60-66 Bench Seat Pictures
I know years ago the houndstooth was fairly reasonable. I had it in my 72 Cheyenne super and redid the seat. Damn I guess that was about 1988. The only difference was it was white with the black and white houndstooth.

Re: 60-66 Bench Seat Pictures
If you are talking about this one, it is the factory bench upholstery in my '66 Chevy K10 lwb fleetside. This truck is an all original, except the mirrors, dual exhaust and wheels/tires, with 57,000 original miles.

Re: 60-66 Bench Seat Pictures
Joe, You are correct that the seat cushions and upholstery changed in 95' as well as the dash but the base is the same and was built on the same platform. Then in 99' with the new body the seats went to the integrated seatbelts. Here is my 98' base.

Re: 60-66 Bench Seat Pictures
Luckly my Uncle Owns a Upholstery Shop. Mauney Auto Trim 933 S Morgan St, Shelby, NC (704) 482-1536 I just had him to recover mine. Thinking about putting bucket seats back in my ole' truck like I used to have. But.....we will see. I originally wanted 2 toned button tucked diamond pleate(if I spelled it right), but it was going to be a lot more than I could afford at the time. So I just stayed with what I have now. I like it, but I kinda wanna go back with bucket seats. We will see.

Re: 60-66 Bench Seat Pictures
My bench- PO had it done- I don't know the details, but it was the nicest thing about the truck when I bought it, besides the price.
