I sure wish I could make it, but my parents are coming up from Coos Bay. They don't get to see their grandchildren (or me and my wife) very often so I need to hang out with them.

Re: I NEED to know who's coming, NW people for LonghornMan

Little update on the weather for Saturday. Its been nice all week and now they are talking about rain through the weekend and temps a little lower. I believe they said there may even be a chance of snow up in the passes. Remember where this is all happening is just a glorified carport. Yes its 30ft x 80ft and pretty darn tall, but the sides dont go all the way to the top and the front was open until I built a large azz tarp wall. Staying dry wont be a problem (may be a little chilly though).

Here is a pic before we scraped the rest of the hay up and as you can see there is no large tarp wall yet either. Plus I have put a few more trucks in there.

See you people Saturday. Should be an interesting day

btw, I only bowl when I'm hammered.

Seriously though, I've been looking at the forecast for up there and kinda expected it to be rather cool. Put me to work and I'll warm up quickly!

got your reply Andy, not to worry about what gate #, they only have one. bring a dolly, you have to unload your own suitcases (and tools). I'll be parked out front in the '72 white/ochre Suburban.

kidding about carrying your own luggage.

No package yet Andy...I hope it gets here in time. You peeps that are coming IF you want to you can bring some of your own tools just in case we need some. I have a very limited amount of em myself. Should be interesting keeping all our stuff separate...

I have plenty of jack stands and a set of ramps. I also can use one of the old tractors with a bucket if we really wanna have some fun.

You guys are killing me...I really wanted to attend this function!

Anybody bringing a generator for power? ETsC10 and Livrat can swing by my place and pick mine up if you need it. I will have the wife roll it out into the drive for you but you will have to load it up. 5.5k and filled with gas!!!!

Someone post some pics of this event! Is Bob Moore showing up? Bill Lattimer? I hope the Seattle contingent is bigger than the Oregon and Canadian ones...that would be downright embarassing!

LOL!
CG, that was something I was wondering... GMC Junkie asked me to look into cutting a part off the blue one.... is there an air compressor out there? Or maybe an extention cord and a jigsaw?

Re: I NEED to know who's coming, NW people for LonghornMan

One extension cord. But you have to be careful of overloading it. If someone wants to pic up the gen thats cool. Mike lives down south, too far for me to run down.

Ive been asked what all is going to be happening. Plans are for a General tune up. Switch dist to HEI. Check and replace any questionable rubber lines. Basically go over the burb to make sure nothing obvious is going to explode

Instead of towing the blue burb we are thinking we should just pull all the stuff off it he needs and packing it into the rear of the ochre burb. Such as front suspension, rear suspension and barn doors.

Also going to go ahead and swap over the passenger side front door and while we are at it go ahead and swap the 68 nose to the 72. The 72 nose is pretty much scrap anyway.

I think with careful packing the ochre burb will hold quite a bit of stuff. Plus the fact that its 3/4 ton will help.

Last thing...Brad is coming up for Oregon today and wants to spend the night. There is a camping place out by the farm, but I checked and you have to be a member to camp there. Anyone have a place where Brad can crash for the night? If you have an idea PM him ... hopefully we can help him out.

I just got to thinking, I think my father in law has a generator we can use. I have a sawzall we can use to cut whatever it is Junkie wants. My brother also has a portable air compressor stashed out here too. I dont know if its big enough for our use, but I can roll it over if we need it.

awesome! I had told Jodie she could have just about anything she wanted off of this, and then.. honestly, I kinda forgot. Then she called me yesterday telling me the body shop is requesting a piece.
I just called DHL, and they are loading up my package onto a truck right about now and getting it to your work.

Re: I NEED to know who's coming, NW people for LonghornMan

and now I just got another call... I may be totally screwed on that package. Well, not TOTALLY... I won't know ANYTHING untill 10PM my time tonight.
it ended up 115 miles away, in a DHL Hub that won't even open untill 7 PM PST tonight.
I'll have to have them divert it to CG's father in law's place... I gotta get ahold of CG, and he logged out.

oldiron... if you could do that, that would be awsome.
I got DHL straightened out. It'll be there tomorow, but they were unable to say exactly when.
And... if for some reason, id doesn't show up, it'll be at the Bellingham hub.
It was sitting 115 miles from where it was supposed to be. The lady i spoke to said she was gonna refund me 50%.
