Nice buy!

Re: Project Platinum C10

It seems that almost everybody I've spoken to prefer spindles over arms as well. I can't say which is better, because the only thing I've used is spindles. My tires are bent in slightly.. I'm hoping after I replace the ball joints that it'll fix most of it, cuz my joints are shot.. I bought these DJM spindles and just cut my coils. The spindles touch the inside of the passenger wheel slightly, I'm just going to grind a tiny bit off.

Re: Project Platinum C10

Well it seems that I let the guys at DJM talk me into the control arms. He was rambling about "Better fit, new bushings, new ball joints, yadi yada...blah blah blah" Hope it's not a decision I will regret!

If the wheels are canted after lowering any truck, its because you haven't aligned it yet. That's completely adjustable and in no way a bad reflection on any lowering components. Just align the thing, its all part of the lowering process.

Thanks! I checked with approx. 4 or 5 places and only got 2 verbal quotes. One for 4700$ from Jeff's and one for $6500 from Brooms in Silsbee. I checked with a couple places in Orange but both only do collision repair. Someone told me to check with Classic Chevrolet in Beaumont also.

Silsbee and Lumberton are neighboring communities that are both approx. 90 miles or so from Houston.

I actually found this truck in Lumberton where SeTX67 lives.

Dang!! You guys are about an hr from me! Not to shabby I might have to make a trip up there to meet you guys some day when I'm not trying to take my truck apart

I've been looking for a good shop to do a paint job so I'll be seeing how yours turns out, could possibly be worth the trip to get it painted.

One shop told me they have about 2 months worth of backlog before they can start my truck. I have used them in the past and they did real good work. If I decided to use them that will give me a couple months to do other nic nacs to the truck.

I called the local shop this morning and he is pricing me the same setup I already priced but in the Boss 338's. If they are close in cost I will go with the Foose Rims although they do look very similar.

Sounds like a deal to me! If you get a chance go talk to KSBRKTRACER he's a vendor here on the forum talk to him about some 338's he might be able to give you a decent deal. Just if you want to get a 2nd opinion.

I like the Foose Rims though man, definitely going to be a crowd pleaser thats for sure!

I would like to do bucket seats but I have 2 small sons so I am going to keep the bench seat so we can ride around together. Thanks man, long road ahead but eventually it will be done.

With time it'll come along even if it's a slow process it'll get done believe me the wait will be worth it

I've seen several people on this forum with these wheels. I wanted the Foose rims but can't see spending the extra 500$ for a rim that looks almost exactly the same.
