Re: "Old Olive" 1970 C10 porterbuilt build

Been a few weeks since an update!

Porterbuilt order shipped today! I will have everything next week. Had to cancel the rear Porterbuilt kit since I am running the 24x15's in the rear I will have to do a custom rear 4 link setup.

Motor is coming along, still a ways to go, but progress! I would like to get the motor finished before digging into the porterbuilt install.

Re: "Old Olive" 1970 C10 porterbuilt build

Nice!!!

I thought the Porterbuilt kit with the inboard bags would facilitate the 15" wide rear??

Not with the trailing arm setup. I am not sure about the 4 link kit they make...

Re: "Old Olive" 1970 C10 porterbuilt build

The thing that really brings back the memories for me is that FM radio converter under the dash. I had that exact one and put it in a string of cars I had in the 70's that only came with AM.

My first post and it will be exciting to watch. Wow how things have changed from when I was on forums a few years ago during college.

Re: "Old Olive" 1970 C10 porterbuilt build

Way too much into the motor lol

Doing it all again I would have just bought a brand new crate LS3.

I'm hoping for high 400s in the hp range
