Re: Project Ru5tyNut5
that's the most recent pic but I got a little more done today. I have the air lines ran from the manifold to the rear bags and have the switch box all wired up now. I need a bunch of 1/4 air line to run to my guages then I can see if I actually wired the box up right. All I have left at this point is run 1/2" air line to the front bags and 1/4" line to the guages. I'm also thinking about going to bigger power wire before I actually start running it, we'll see what happens.

Re: Project Ru5tyNut5
Next time I do it I'll just Z the frame in the rear, seems like it would be a lot easier than a big step notch. Other than that there isn't really much to it aside from figuring out where you want to put everything and then making mounts for it all. neither the switch box or the manifold came with any type of wiring diagram so that can make it interesting, nothing a couple emails couldn't fix though. unfortunately there are wire colors that aren't supposed to be there, and some that are supposed to be there are missing.

Re: Project Ru5tyNut5
started running the air lines
got 'em all ran, I threw one red guage line in there on purpose...figured I'd throw one in so that side would match the power wires and whatnot on the other side.

Re: Project Ru5tyNut5
I do have drop spindles for the front but I have some things I need to figure out before I put them on. the gas tank is about 1/8" off the ground when it's all the way down right now for one, and also I have full length headers that are also almost on the ground when it's all the way down. Guess I need a fuel cell and some shorty headers before I put the spindles on.

Re: Project Ru5tyNut5
The spindles might actually help with the tank. Lowering the front makes the rear come up slightly and vice versa. Definitely would need the headers though...

Re: Project Ru5tyNut5
that would be great if the tank were in the rear, but unfortunately the tanks on these are mostly under the cab on the outsides of the frame rails, and they hang down pretty good. if I go any lower on the front my tank and headers will be on the ground but my bumper may not be on the ground anymore.

Re: Project Ru5tyNut5
What are the dimensions and capacity of your air tank and where did you get it?

Re: Project Ru5tyNut5
this pic was all of maybe 7 minutes after the other one, can't believe how quick and easy it is. I'm sure I'm the last one to learn it but better late than never.

Re: Project Ru5tyNut5
I got some fenders for free, they aren't perfect but they aren't full of rust holes like the ones I got now so they're just right.

Re: Project Ru5tyNut5
figured I'd paint the wheels that those white walls are on for the time being until I get the wheels I'm going to use painted.
1st wheel in primer..... 2nd all wire wheeled and ready to be cleaned for primer...... 1st one painted......
