68 chevy stepper aKa " jackcrack"

that night we put hood back on and got the 6 bell housing bolts and the motor mounts bolted in. so now the starter needs to be hooked up and stuff like that.

i got for the 68 some new parts and some used in good shape.
1 new gauge bezel that doesnt have messed up chrome like the one in the pictures.
2 new tail lights
3 new front and rear sport bumpers (painted)
4 new grile trim hoops (painted)
5 new head light bezels (painted)
5 oil filler tube for intake with built in metal pvc valve
6 new chrome mirror arm
7 new ACC OFF ON START plaque (above the ignition in the dash)
8 new rear lisence plate box to mount in the bumper
9 the driver outer bumper bracket for the rear( need to get the other 3)
10 grille
11 glove box liner
12 heater controls
13 cigarette lighter
14 2 female seat belts since they wer missing but i got some that have the same color fade and even have the same number on the little canvas tag thingy at the bottom ( i think they were my female peices originally) this truck is a big insporation for me and i want to make my ruck very similar to his until i do a real paint job.

thanks geary! i seen your build, you have a clean truck. i like how you didnt shave the trim.

from what ive been told by the PO's it was a public works truck for madera CA... so i dont know, i dont think it was in texas. its a fremont made truck here in CA.

no pictures but, ive aquired some new parts for it.

1 dash pad.(new black)
2 new interior door handles and exterior door handles.
3 rear coils for a 3'' drop i believe from CPP.
4 new rear tail lights.
5 i got used 67 painted grille trim ( its perfect shape no dents or anything)
6 used mirror arms and mirrors from a red 67 with the original paint on them still.
7 rh and lh painted headlight bezels.
im working on trying to get a 67 68 CST horn cap, they just look so cool!
and i have 2 used bumpers in perfect shape a front and rear and they are both going to be white painted.

well i brought the 68 to ricks house today so this weekend we got some major work to do! pics will follow

i installed the tailgate, driver door lock driver door handle, cleaned rear window, cleaned the seat, cleaned the air cleaner inside and out. and installed a marker light on the front driver fender ( somone broke the one that was on there) pictures when i get home

got more work done! replaced the grille front bumper installed: dash pad, horn cap, tailgate chains, power steering pump and brake booster. also cleaned paint off of the emblems and other misalaneous things all over the truck. took the foot e-brake pedal out and put a hand operated 67 68 e brake in.

also replaced mirror heads, and painted the passenger side of the floor.

thank you. i kinda dont like how low i tis and the ride is really ****ty.... i would like to get drop coils for the front but raise the front uo and inch and lower the rear 1 inch so its level.

and as for progress! ricks been kicking but on it and hes got me all the clutch linkage parts i need and he put in a new passenger inner fender he also got the grille off and sanded it down and made it match the rest of the truck so hopefully i can get a video of it running here for you guys well i should say driving! heres some pic!

well i didnt like the black at the edge of the rims and i wanted the caps back on so heres after a nice bath. i also took the high hump out and im going to clean the gear box up and paint it the original orange! heres pics of caps and full red rims. the gear box pics will come next time... stay tuned

got the tailgate chains on and redrilled the wholes so they mount to the bed. ive also done some other work...let me see if i can dig up some pics of that.
