Re: Hybrid parking?

It's probably just the CA nazi's...but if the building itself is accredited for sustainability through the LEED rating system (most common) than part of the program would be including designated FEV (fuel efficient vehicle) parking. If that is the case you will find a bike rack nearby as well.

Re: Hybrid parking?

Get a toolbox in the bed, put a sticker or label saying battery box, hybrid right there.

Re: Hybrid parking?

I drive a box van for my business 15,000 gvw, and then we have the ever present prius driver and he is most of the time speeding and just driving like an idiot. Put this to the test just watch when your in traffic you will see this in real time! The name says it all for me anyway Prius in the event of an accident please (pry us out) how green are our trucks? still running 45 years later! the batteries in the Pryus are not very green to make or get rid of either. Burn all the fuel&rubber you like my friends, I will and remember, Mass always wins! cheer, Pat

Not to change the subject but to add to the info... If you see one of these hybrids on fire from a short or accident, be very careful. Burning batteries are not fun (or healthy) especially Li-Ion because they burn really hot and can explode... A single car size battery may not be a big problem but a large hybrid battery or multiple batteries would...

Re: Hybrid parking?

if they sell enough Hybrids mabey they leave our gas guzzler's alone, give em all spot's up front ! I'll park in the back of the lot, it's closer to the gas station down the road .

Re: Hybrid parking?

What matters to me is that safety features or not, I know what vehicle I'd rather be in during a collision...
