Re: CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY find!!!

Are you married because most wives would not let their husbands bring home all those beauties. Do you need to have a title to drive those things in Texas because I bought a 63 a few years ago and the guy didn't have a title for it, he just wrote a bill of sale saying that he sold it to me for such and such amount on such and such date and everything was cool.

That's a good ? I will check into it because I think all of these trucks were titled to him at one time.

Georgia doesn't require a title, only a bill of sale.

Re: CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY find!!!

here in the netherlands its possible to get new original titles when the old ones are stolen or lost they where all registered at one time so there must be a possibility to do the same thing in the states , as long as you have the original licenceplates you should be able to do sumtin about it i guess

Here are a few more pics I got before it started to rain. This red 67 is a very nice truck with the exception of one bad door.

Re: CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY find!!!

It started to rain pretty good so I only one or two of the 5th one(red and white). The yellow 72 that is hard to see is one that I did not buy but might go ahead and get it.

The rest of these pics are of internationals and other stuff, some of which were taken at a distance.

There were 2 "crew cab" that were both in pretty good shape.

Re: CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY find!!!

There is an IH message board, you might have some luck figuring out what all the IH stuff is worth.
http://www.binderbulletin.org/
I personally like IH stuff, but I don't know if there is any real demand for it. Maybe 'up north', there are a ton of those trucks up in wyo & colorado.

On my 67 I bought in Waco last year, I had a title but it was signed years ago by a different purchaser...Needless to say I had heck trying to get the Title transferred. If you have no TX title, you will have to go to a title hearing at your county court. The Titles and Registration office in your county can give you the info/paperwork...It's a real PITA!!

Re: CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY find!!!

Aaron,
Keep 'em - Part 'em - rebuild 'em - or hell just look at 'em. Thats alot better than the alternetive - some idiot getting in there and cutting them up for scrap or better yet the city condeming the property and sending them to the chipper!!!!!! - Listen what ever you need to save them you let us know - these trucks are losing numbers by the day and we all need to do our part to make sure none go to the smasher anymore!
The most sickening thing I have ever seen was on "Modern Marvels" on the History channel and they were doing a special on "Modern Junk Yards" and loe and behold this moron drops an imacculant 70 or 71 Longhorn (side boxes and original Hub Cabs, OEM tow mirrors and great OEM molding) right down in to this smasher that made it into a brick about 4'X4' then send it down the line to a chipper - the last thing you seen was the OEM longhorn rear imblem all chewed up comming down this convayor.
I swear to each of you right here and now that after I got boiling mad - I wrote them a nasty little essay on how they should research the value of what their destroying for TV's sake!
Of course they probably laughed me and called me the idiot - but I sure felt better when I saw the mail carrier leave with my letter.

Thanks for the pictures. I like the IH trucks (not better than the 67-72 GM of course). I do not see many/any IH in Michigan.

Re: CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY find!!!

The owner can apply for lost titles. I think it costs about $5.00. Go to your county tax office and get the forms, fill out the vin # and let him sign them. It will take about 2 weeks to get new title in.

Re: CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY find!!!

Those are in pretty darn good shape. I would think it would be worthy your time to try to buy the 4 door IH's. A bunch of us go crazy about the 4 door 67-72's and there has to be a bunch of IH fans that would jump on those. Save them and maybe make a few bucks - nothing wrong with that!

Re: CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY find!!!

There was an old rice farm not to far from where I live. They had, 3 John Deere D's on steel, 1 Fordson On steel, and about 3 or 4 International WR9's on steel. There were about 25 to 30 old cars and trucks (mostly Chevrolet trucks) from the 40's and through the 60's parked out in this field with the tractors. Most of them had trees growing up through them. I guess back in the day when it was broke or tired you parked it and bought a new one. You could always use the old ones for parts later on.

I agree with you on that man. A couple or so years ago I was out driving and pulled up behind a tow truck that was hauling a big trailer with tall sides and in that trailer was about three stacks of cars that had just been crushed. When I saw what was sitting on top of that back stack of cars my jaw about hit the floor, it was a 69/70 Chevy truck that had been completely flattened. If I had the money and space I would buy all the old cars and trucks that are in the local junkyards and try and find buyers for them so they don't get crushed like that truck.
