Thanks again for the link Rick. Just in case anyone is still looking at this thread. Here is a pic of my truck with the bed wood. The only thing now I would recommend is find GOOD quality plywood. Take your time to find the right sheets from the right supplier.

Well, I wouldn't say that it was worth it or not but here is an idea that could save you alot of time and grief.

Instead of cutting out your old steel floor, try installing the wood directly over the existing floor. It would take some cutting and fitting but I think if you kept the wood thinner than stock (you won't need it really thick if you keep the strength of the steel floor) and seamed everything up good, I bet you wouldn't be able to tell that it wasn't a stock floor.

I just finished mine using a Mar-K kit (red oak). It fit perfectly. Very high quality product. Highly recommended. (I bought directly from Mar-K - free shipping)

Re: wooden beds, what r u guys doing with them?

I had the woodshop teacher at my school cut out boards. The oak wood cost about 100$ and a bottle of wine (25$). I have not got it finished or drilled yet. I need to look up the exact locations for the holes. Anyone have a link with those measurements?
