hey longhorn are the gmc # different ??? my short step (a gmc,posing as a chevy) and dump truck have different #'s instead of the six digit # ????

I did have a pic of this truck when I first got it. was gonna post it for you guys, but now I can't seem to find it. And seeing as how it's in about 1000 pieces in the garage, I don't believe I can get a descent pic of it now... lol ... Have to wait for the finished project I guess

I would like to do both seeing as how I just picked up the truck last night, went to DM Frickin V and they tell me "I dont think that is a valid Vin number, also your truck is not in our computer.

So basically I would like to find out what I can.

The vin is CS1590KZC3534A

Yikes, what the he!! kind of VIN is that?
You might want to go talk to the last owner and get him to un-screw this up. If he refuses, look into the legality of selling a tampered VIN truck. Your VIN does in fact look to be bogus.
Here is the GMC VIN decode for 69 and older.

Here is 70 and 71.

Wait, i just noticed I don't have 72. If yours is a 72, then disregard the comments up top and let me know what you find.

I wonder if it makes a difference if this was a fleet truck?? Like maybe this was a particular run they did for a fleet. I know that it was a fleet truck for Lockheed.
