Re: 1985 S-Blazer in Az

Damn looks like it could kick my trucks azz, that little inline five is definitely powerful, I bet after a pcm tune and you could possibly push it to 300. I'm not sure if your still running the factory pcm or if its already got a tune on it.

yes it runs pretty good. With the stock blazer rear end the one tire wouldn’t stop spinning. I welded up the diff to lock both tires and still had tire spin problems. But the tires are very old, literally date code says 14 years old. So old dry rotted adds to the spinning. But not to worry, it’s in the shop getting tubbed now.

factory pcm has been tuned, reprogrammed, trans pressures etc, equal length header, free flowing exhaust, and larger throttle body.

it’s too easy and cheap nowadays to not put a sbc in there. You can get good MPGs and decent power, it’s a no brainer.

Re: 1985 S-Blazer in Az

Got the rear cut out, and starting to get the final bit of trimming to get the axle width..
Will be working on the frame rails this weekend.
Truck might get air-ride in the future, so the pic with the wheel stuffed up in the fender well is to see the truck “laid out” and how high the frame needs to be, along with inner fender well trimming..

More pics to follow

I LIKE IT! I'm in. BTW your rendering earlier has the Name BALZER on the tailgate. Maybe you should call it that? IDK if anyone has mentioned it as I read kinda fast and was enjoying all the pics.
AND as stated before- Thank You for serving!

Good looking truck. I had a 2wd 1986 blazer in high school. It was a good car, except for the 2.8L dog.
