Re: Lowering my 80

The truck does ride better then i expected after the chop. I've always heard it gives a stiff ride. But it rides fine to me.

Re: Lowering my 80

Nice man. I just put new tires on mine after work. 275/60R15 in the rear, 225/70R15 in the front. The front beads would NOT set. It took me and one of the techs a while. We used pieces of 2x4 to stretch open the tire so it would be closer to the bead. Guess thats why there is beer in the fridge!

Re: Lowering my 80

After I dropped mine, it had a really bad lean on the driver's side. I think it was there before and maybe I just didn't notice it until the fenders were a lot closer to the top of the tires. I swapped the rear leafs side to side and now it's pretty level. I think it was from the gas tank causing the leafs to sag on one side. Since your gas tank is on the passenger side, maybe that's what happened with you. Before you put in coil spring levelers, you might try switching you rear leafs from side to side and see if it gets closer to level

Did you.cut out the fenders on your truck? That's what im wanting to avoid but want it to sit about the height of yours. I ordered 3" springs and a flip kit im waiting on, also thinking about spindles but I want to keep my inner fenders.
