I'm really sorry about your truck. I hope you catch the guy who cut you off. Did you get is LIC number or any other ID on his vehicle. I hope your truck was insured for that kind of loss.

the story
Hi, Fellow board members. No Insurance. I had liability. No I did not get the license plate. One of the witnesses did not get it either. The vehicle was traveling really fast when he went by me and cut me off. I think it was a honda prelude. The witness said it had a flipper on the back. I am going to build another truck or one in your year range. It just that I have collected alot of 63 parts.

Glad you're ok, I sure wish the idiot that cut you off had got caught. I don't think I could contain myself if I met up with someone that has so little regard for your safety and well being.

Glad your ok. Does your state have an uninsured motorist fund that covers this?. This happened to me in 96'. I had to file a claim under the "phantom driver" clause to get paid. My brother in law is an attorney who helped me with this. Good luck man.

Dang David I just read this. I "heard" the report on the news , but was getting dressed and wasn't looking at the TV. I just assumed the "officer" was in a patrol car when I heard it. I didn't know it was you in your truck.

That is a total shame. I saw a pic of your truck the other night and was thinking how nice it was. Glad you made it with minor bumps and bruses, the truck can always be replaced.

I think if you go with a 67-72, some of us could help you out and donate parts. The board members got together once before and bought Longhorn Man (ANdy) the longhorn he has right now. ANd it was all from board member donations. I'm sure we could take up a collection to get you back on the road. What do you think guys?

Thanks for the offers. I am going to look at a 65 lwb that was just painted. This truck is owned by the wrecker company owner that towed the truck out to the shop. I am going to try and build or buy a completed truck so I have a truck to drive.

David, I also heard about this, but didn't see the truck. Glad you're ok. So, you're an HPD officer? Where do you work out of?
I'm at various HPD facilities all the time. Mike

wow im glad your ok, my girlfreind got cut off the other day and she almost rammed into a girl in like a little honda. She was being tailgated by the chick so she just kept going at her conservative speed, the chic got pissed and gunned it around her and trafic was a little much and she ended up not even getting in the lane all the way, her rear was blocking the right lane. Needless to say my girlfreind almost annihilated her and her car. Why are people so impatient. This makes me think about how I dirve sometimes.....I'm sure we all get a little impatient, or just want to gun it just for fun, but lets all be careful and courteous to fellow motorist, I know I'll do my part, lets just hope every one else will too. Sorry for the loss gald your ok
