Re: 1970 GMC Stepside Redbuild

You my friend, do not **** around. Nice progress.

I have a few things for you. That red filler you are using isnt good to use. thats kind of old school. It shrinks and causes lines in the paint later. That red oxide stuff here.

ANd your my twin.. I have a chevy thats a gmc stepchild.. here is my build...

My 71 build. GMC/chevy

Good build man...

Re: 1970 GMC Stepside Redbuild

Well I've made some progress, been kinda under the weather though. Got some 6 lug rally's for 50$, Painted most of the interior also.

Rally Rims when they were brought home.

One of the Rims after sanding and priming. . .

Interior Pics (its gotten a little dusty since the new paint)

How did you get the dents out? Dent puller? Stud welder?

Re: 1970 GMC Stepside Redbuild

Used a dent puller then what I couldn't get out used liquid fiberglass to fill the small dents.

Re: 1970 GMC Stepside Redbuild

Well Got Most of it Primed Today and Yesterday.

The Driver's Side and The place where the dent was in the roof still needs some work, but almost there. . .

As you can tell I got the rims mounted and centercaps on, the front tires are going to be the same size as the back as soon as I can go check on two more like them.

Re: 1970 GMC Stepside Redbuild

This is the view from my garage, it has natural air conditioning, and no heat haha. Nothing like pulling out a motor in 26 degree weather.

Hey thanks, yeah I just couldn't pass this deal up, got all of it for $300. Thats for the motor, tranny, torque converter. and every bit of the exhaust. lol notice the home made air cleaner which could have actual ram air.
