I am not sure where the original guy went. And unfortunately, I only ever had his work phone number. I've tried looking him up and can't find him. I'm going to keep looking though. I hate to pull it at this point, but I want it done right also. I'm not even sure what the legal hassle would be if I tried to take it now.

I would question the expansion and shrinking rates of plastic, metal, and drip rail sealer. It seems to me if you add plastic to the equation it changes the expansion and contraction rates in every place it's thicker and thinner making the sealer more prone to crack in a shorter amount of time when compared to just metal and sealer.

I don't know what legal hassle there'd be. You are the customer. It is your truck. You did not sign a contract. Fire them! Take your truck back. If they are spending hours doing something the incorrect way and will be charging you for those hours - you are already in a messed up situation.

If he won't do it tell him the seam sealer will last for 30+ years and if he'll give you a written garrantee his bondo will last 20 years without fail and agree to do over, let him do it. BUT, he won't agree to that...
