Why does the Lincoln say it will weld up to 5/16 inch metal with 135 amp and the Hobart 140 only says it will weld 1/4 inch metal with 140 amp.....are the conservative in there claims or am I missing something

Also miller seems a little higher priced than lincoln or hobart what brand would you buy

this is what me and my buddy just bought.. it works pretty good for a wire feed.. was kinda suprised.. I have done the mufflers, and patched a hole on the side of the truck bed... I was impressed for the price, I think we paid $99 on sale..
