Re: Project Ol' Blue
Aint that the truth man! I have really surprised myself at how quickly I have adapted to body work, as you well know. But the others, this truck is my first attempt at body welding and filler (except for small dings). I am VERY happy with way she is turning out. This is just making me want to tackle larger projects. This one is an easy build by all means except for the few custom fabrication ideas i have on it. We will see what the final look turns out to be.

Re: Project Ol' Blue
Well my hood is 99 percent finished. Got the damage repairs finished and got it in primer. All that is left is to dress up the welds on the underside and hide em with mud.

That rust coated roof is no more. Sanded it all down and got a fresh coat of primer on it.

Re: Project Ol' Blue
Gettin ready for the roll pan. Took that junky ol bumper off (she looks like she has a wider stance without it lol). Thanks to the idiot PO welding the bumper brackets on, I played hell. Also started on the tail gate, getting the emblems and factory metal trim off and started sanding. Tomorrow I will get the holes welded up and may start my fab on it relocating the handle to the inside. MAYBE lol

Re: Project Ol' Blue
if yall have a pull-a-part (or equivalent) over there that would be the best place to look. you do the work but it sure does cost a lot less

Re: Project Ol' Blue
I know where you can get a pristine bumper for your dads truck but its here in Ga. Hit dragonwrecker up and he can get the price for you. It may be worth a trip to pick it up. Its in new condition. Same truck I got my doors from today.

Re: Project Ol' Blue
WOW! Fathers Day was GREAT for Blue! Got the tailgate mostly finished today and many many thanks to my brother, Dragonwrecker, she is sporting a set of updated doors from a 94 Blazer. Also got her a new grill and all new door rubbers. Blue is coming together ahead of schedule!

Re: Project Ol' Blue
Heres a few before and after shots of the doors. Its so nice to be able to roll the windows down, lock the doors and have the body lines match up. Thanks brother! Oh and a pic of the broken grill we took off.
