Dug through my receipts and found it. It's summit part number RUS-640600. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rus-640600

Thanks, I'm getting ready to order some parts from Summit so that will be good.

Rolled the chassi outside in preparation to set the cab tonight. This is the first time it saw the light of day since I bought it!

I hate to ask again, but this part number you listed shows the -6an side to be male and the inverted flare side to be female??? Shouldn't both side be male? Thanks

Re: '67 K10 swb big block "The Mutt"

The part # is correct, but there's another adapter in there as well that I forgot about. I'll look again at my parts list and get back to you.

I think what happened was the parts store rang up the wrong part number for the fittings that I purchased. My receipt says 640600 but that's obviously not the part I have...So, forget what I said about there being another adapter in there, to the best of my knowledge the fitting I'm using is Russell PN640331 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rus-640331/overview/

Hopefully that makes more sense!

True, it probably wouldn't ever get done if I had to do all the body work myself! I helped my paint guy hang the doors this morning and he let me see a little preview of what the color will look like. 507 light blue, I can't wait to see it on the cab itself!

You're doing it right- keep up the good work! My cousin had a 78 k10 swb that he installed 3/4 ton springs & axles under- it was a bit rough riding.

Yeah I'm prepared for a bit of a rough ride. I still have 1/2 ton springs under it, so I'm hoping it won't be too bad after all. We'll see!

nice build...but you bought a 67 k-20, scrapped the frame and cab to keep the axles and the non original engine and TC... now shortened another frame and found a 68 cab...

you like to take to hard way in building, but at least it's coming along.
Yes I'm definitely doing it the hard/expensive way! The only things I'm keeping from the k20 I originally bought are the axles, drive train, hood, grill, cowl, and maybe a few interior parts. If I could do it over again I'd start.with less of a basket case that has a few more usable parts!

Looking back I would have shortened a frame (or waited to find one), found some CUCV axles and started fresh. Maybe an LS engine...

It's just 3/8 braided line and some 6AN fittings. It's held in place by 2 clamps, one against the block on the backside of the alternator bracket, and one on the ground stud on the alternator itself. I can take some more pictures of it if you'd like.

Thank you!

Installed the ignition wires and looms, as well as a new steering column and brake booster. Still need to button a few things up but so far it's coming together nicely.

Re: '67 K10 swb big block "The Mutt"

I'm back! Just moved back to Michigan so life has been really busy with finding a place to live, new job, starting school etc but I'm hoping to get a few things done on the truck this week. For those interested here are a few pictures of how I spent my summer in the midwest...
