All the serp Alt are internally regulated. Looks like no problems with clearance issues. Pretty similar to what I ended up with. I took the used serp Alt and just used it as core on a lifetime warranty Alt. To prevent any future charging issues. You could also just take it to a O Riellys or AutoZone and have it tested.

Thanks for all the tips. I think we are definitely going the serp route now. Seems the best solution. Now, I just need to find out how that works with the Vintage Air compressors.
