I also have the same burning question about headers. I need a set that won't hang below the frame rails. Anybody with ideas?

They make them uncoated also. I helped him crank his motor for the first time today and we had to pull the spark plugs. I am in love with these hedders. I will probably buy a set for my son's truck. I'll post a pic of how far they hang down in a little bit.

Sorry, I missed your post earlier. I'm using duplicolor red. I actually painted the intake too, with duplicolor aluminum. An old timer I know told me an aluminum intake is much easier to keep clean if it's painted. Made sense to me so I'm trying it out this time. Even if you look close you won't even be able to tell it's painted when I'm done, The color is very close to the same.
