Re: 68 c10 6.5 turbo diesel
Ok question time what do you think is better stage of paint single stage or 2 stage. What primer should I use the truck is going to be white. I am going to be painting this my self so keep that in mind. I already know that it wont look like a pro paint job. Also people around here can care less if you have a nice paint job. In fact I think they get a kick out of running and banging into a nice paint job.

Re: 68 c10 6.5 turbo diesel
Well it looks like your going to do it up right starting from the ground up, I'm sure you'll love that diesel motor in there and its cool, its different. I put a 6.2 in mine and wouldn't change a thing...

Re: 68 c10 6.5 turbo diesel
Love it! I like your pics, keep'em coming. I'm a diesel technician. I like the 6.5's but the one in my 97 4x4 crew dually is sickly. I would like to swap a mechanical pump in but after I factor in the cost of that and everything else, I think I'm going to swap in a 12v instead. I do like your idea of a mechanical 6.5 in your 68. It's different and you will like the fuel mileage.

Re: 68 c10 6.5 turbo diesel
Also what made you want to keep the fuel tank in the cab? Most use a blazer tank under the rear of the bed.

Re: 68 c10 6.5 turbo diesel
To keep it original. Plus I like filling up the tank from sitting inside lol. It easy to swap mech pump on 6.5. The other way is hard. All you need is a 90s pump a 93 is the best if it a 4911. Get pump and lines and that's it hook up one wire and done make sure throttle bracket is on pump.
