Re: Moving sale - parts for sale

IIRC Paul only has a computer part time, either in Minnesota or Iowa, I can't remember which.

Re: Moving sale - parts for sale

Dave - I did not get that pm - please send it again and I'll be happy to answer your questions.

Shelby - I have a basic gauge cluster from a 67-68 left (the 2 big gauges and the signals in the center - no small gauges at the bottom).

muddyhole - don't really have access to the tools I need to get the motor on a pallet and to the freight place (i.e. engine hoist, pickup, etc). I'm in process of getting the pickup running, nut not done yet!

Re: Moving sale - parts for sale

It appears that I will be travelling to Fargo, ND on December 10th on a parts delivery run. If there is anyone else that is looking for parts/delivery between MPLS and Fargo, I can probably arrange something pretty easily.

Shawn - if it turns out that the 10th works for you, I'll bring the top.

Wes - I'm thinking of meeting at the Flying-J truckstop at I-94 and I-29. Let me know if that works for you.

Thanks,

Paul

The 72 doors have a sale pending right now, but the 71 doors seem to still be available.

Re: Moving sale - parts for sale

Let me see the 283 and give me a little history. I would be willing to bring the stuff and make another trip to Iowa to get it, ya know I"m good for it. For those of you who don't know, I picked stuff up from Pal72 before an I can tell you he is a top notch guy and would buy anything from him (if I had money).

Heard good things about Paul..I am sure everything will be great. Come to think of it, there doesn't seem to be many bad dealers on here. Good to see.

Re: Moving sale - parts for sale

Do you still have the hood hinges?
I'm lookin for a set that works good. Mine won't let the rear part of the hood come down all the way when the springs are on them. I've been running them without springs and with a prop rod for the last few years. It'd be nice to be able to open the hood normally for once!

My zip is 63445

Pics of the 283.

This motor was in the 69 GMC I bought a year ago, and ran great! It is complete, less the front pulleys and exh manifolds.

Re: Moving sale - parts for sale

I am interested in the 4 speed tranny. What kinda shape is it in.
I'm 45 minutes south of Waterloo, any chance for pick up?
I also have a radio delete plate with clips, if anyone is interested.

Re: Moving sale - parts for sale

The tranny is in great shape - it drove real good. I'm heading up to MN the weekend of the 10-11th, and I can bring it back down then.

I'll keep you posted.

Does that 283 burn oil and is it pulled out of the truck?

Re: Moving sale - parts for sale

The motor is out of the truck.

As far as I know, it did not use any oil. No leaks (parked it on a new concrete driveway) and no smell of oil. I did not put enough miles on it to know how it did over 3000 miles tho.....
