Re: Dr Appointment good grief
I'll have to look into that. Not sure if I'd like the taste of grapefruit juice, but I kinda do like tonic water.

Re: Dr Appointment good grief
My wife and I suffer with leg cramps. Some calf and foot cramps are mild while others are debilitating, waking me up during the night. Hurts so bad I have a soreness there for days. She buys us potassium pills that seems to help a little bit. We also drink gatorade daily.

Re: Dr Appointment good grief
I'm no doctor by any means but most of the drink beverages stuff sold in the stores is junk in my opinion just water for me. When out in the heat working and sweating up a storm I keep the water flowing, for normal conditions my 4 16 oz bottles a day but once in a very blue moon I can be persuaded with a very very ice cold Heineken. Hope all good health

Re: Dr Appointment good grief
Plain old water is still the best thing for you. I have stage 4 Kidney disease and did suffer with severe cramps in calves, hamstrings and occasionally in my hands. Monitoring my water intake, salt and exercising have helped dramatically. I also take CoQ10. It is the only supplement I take. My cramps are rare now.

Re: Dr Appointment good grief
90% of my daily fluid intake is water.
I start my day with a large glass of water, 2 cups of coffee, then water all day right up until I go to bed, add one small bottle of gatorade after strenuous out door work and/or when cramps start. It does help. Gatorade is the only "sports" type of drink I use. It's history tells how it was developed by Dr Cade and a team of researchers for the Florida Gators in 1965 to help replenish the carbohydrates lost during summer time outdoor games and training of student athletes. It contains water and electrolytes. A man I used to work for drank cold milk after a muscle cramp and swore it helped him. So, whatever works for ya.
