Re: Donz '72 LWB Shop Truck...
Hi Don,
How's the plastidip holding up on the rims? Color matches my truck perfect and I'm looking for a different direction than paint. Thank for the Help. Roger

Re: Donz '72 LWB Shop Truck...
It seems to be doing fine, although I don't drive it every day. A friend of mine has a custom shop and sprayed plastidip on his personal vehicle, he had it on there for awhile. I will call him and get his input...

Re: Donz '72 LWB Shop Truck...
I talked to my bud and he said that if you clean everything real well you shouldn't have any problems, and the good thing is, if there is a problem area, you can peel it off and buy the same color in a rattle can and touch it up...

Re: Donz '72 LWB Shop Truck...
I decided to do a bit of cleaning and painting before the oppressive heat of our typical Arkansas summer made it's entrance...
Here are the door panels after removal and prior to cleaning… IMG_4336 by Donald Olivo, on Flickr IMG_4337 by Donald Olivo, on Flickr The PO decided to add screws instead of new clips to secure the panels… So those were filled prior to painting... After cleaning and prior to the new color… IMG_4341 by Donald Olivo, on Flickr IMG_4342 by Donald Olivo, on Flickr I used Dupli-Color Dk Grey for vinyl and upholstery paint… IMG_4348 by Donald Olivo, on Flickr IMG_4349 by Donald Olivo, on Flickr Still need to order armrests...

Re: Donz '72 LWB Shop Truck...
Not much to report, other than it's HOT here in Arkansas so my motivation equals POOL!
On a somber note, my Mother-in-Law passed away this past Saturday so my focus has been on my lovely wife. I did get my new transmission cooler in this past Friday and am now finally getting around to posting a pic… Fittings are still wrapped up in the packing material… IMG_4495 by Donald Olivo, on Flickr

Re: Donz '72 LWB Shop Truck...
Nice trans cooler, I made a simple aluminium bracket for mine and mounted it out in front of the radiator so it would get plenty of cold air (not that getting cold air is much of an issue in north east england ).
I ran a couple of PTFE hoses from the original hard lines and routed them through the side of the radiator shroud. Turned out OK

Re: Donz '72 LWB Shop Truck...
Thanx Guyz… Diggin' the setup you used Ian...
Hit the Pick-N-Pull this morning and scored a P/S box for this one... Forgot my Pulley puller... so on my return trip to return the Brake Booster I grabbed, I will grab a P/S pump and pulley for this… Thanx to dwcardfan, I am going to get a 72 booster... Here's the donor of the P/S box IMG_4706 by Donald Olivo, on Flickr IMG_4707 by Donald Olivo, on Flickr Laterz...

Re: Donz '72 LWB Shop Truck...
Although I bought a Brake booster as well, it will be returned as Donnie, aka dwcardfan, offered me a '72 booster he has lying around...
I'll use the credit from the booster to help cover the cost of the P/S Pump I need to go back for… Seems someone forgot their Pulley removal tool this morning so the pump is on hold for a couple of days…
