Re: 68-69 Grill on 72
You are looking at a grille (inner and outer) turn signal lights, bumper, hood latch support, and hood. If you are interested in an even swap of your 69 front end pieces for my 71/2 front end pieces, PM me for pictures. I'd even handle the transportation for free.

Re: 68-69 Grill on 72
I hope there inst a "grave digging" rule on this forum, but I would like someone to reiterate on this. I want to put a 69 grill on a 71, whats my damage gonna be? I couldn't quite follow what was said previously. Thanks for the help!

Re: 68-69 Grill on 72
Besides the 69/70 inner and outer grill pieces, you'll need the center brace/hood release bracket. I don't know if the 71/72 harness has enough give for the turn signals to unplug from the bumper and move to the grill lights. You may have to extended those wires. If you wish to go with the 69/70 style bumper, you'll need the bumper and the outer bumper brackets. From what I remember, the inner brackets are the same. 67/68 you need whole frontend

Re: 68-69 Grill on 72
If u have a 72 and want a 67-68 style grill....you have to change the whole front clip..grill, hood, fenders, bumper and core support..if u have a 72 and want a 69-70 style...all u gotta do is change the hood, grill and bumper

Re: 68-69 Grill on 72
You would need the 67 grille, 67-68 hood, and 67-68 upper grille bar. Also if you have the eyebrow trim it would be different. LMC also lists a different center support.

The Hood latch support-Is that the piece that the grill and the hood latch both to? The hood pin and latch are the same? |

Re: 68-69 Grill on 72
to do this youll have to change everything on the front end except the inner fenders. check your bumper and see if it has the cutouts on top for the GMC turn signals, if not, you can use that bumper as well and be corrct

Re: 68-69 Grill on 72
I used to have a '68 K20 with a 69-72 core support, 68 front fenders and grill, with a 69-72 hood. It was kind of a Hill-Billy truck but everything fit pretty good. there was a gap between the hood and the grill ...but it looked okay-ish.
