Re: 1963 GMC C30 panel truck

The latch turned out awesome and so did the first barn door hinge. Used custom turned brass bushings and shoulder bolts for the pin. Tough enough to last another 50 years hahaha

Progress! I have been back on the panel here and there. Where does the time go in the summer? I have the barn door hinges complete, they turned out awesome and glide super nice with the brass bushings.

Referbished the licence plate light. The rubber gasket was in good shape, cleaned up the lens and housing. Changed out the conventional bulb for a LED panel.

Thanks! I'm excited things keep moving along. Saskatchewan has some beauty Whitetails. Would be a cool hunt. I had the opportunity to participate in a duck and goose hunt in Manitoba and it was a blast!!

Thanks! I have been pushing to get things done. Going to be working on sand blasting the rest of the rear sil and cross member tomorrow and continuing work on the gauge cluster the following week. I have been thinking about what type of wood to use for the gauge panel, I have access to some pacific yew wood at a local mill and the hardware store has a bunch of different exotic woods to.... I want to go with yew for the bed wood so I'm leaning towards the yew for the dash.

Re: 1963 GMC C30 panel truck

Got down to the shop this past weekend. Started to remove a few more parts. Pulled the steering column, master cylinder and a bunch of the wiring. Looking to pull the engine in a couple of weeks. My brother in law wants it to replace the 305 in his 77 Monte Carlo, should just slam in
