Re: Anyone else wanting another truck besides me?
If I got another one that would make 4 trucks. To answer your question - Yes!

I have 4 of them at my house and 2 at my Dad's. I still look for more all the time. If they had AA meetings for people like me I would never go!

Re: Anyone else wanting another truck besides me?
My wife "is" going to kill me when I bring home a 60-66 some random weekend! Right now she understands looking at other trucks for ideas and thinking they are cool, but little does she know!...Maybe "we" need a suburban or a scout also....I must have a death wish!

Re: Anyone else wanting another truck besides me?
Its like having match box or hotwheels cars, you get one you really like then you see another that you want even though you still like the first one. A year ago i had only my dd and a 65 c-10 now i have those two and a 67 c-10 swb, 72 c-10 swb and brought home a 80 k20 this weekend and like many of you i am always searching craigslist for the next addition

Re: Anyone else wanting another truck besides me?
Timely thread.
Just this past weekend my father-in-law informed me he wants to haul his '84 K20 to the junk yard. This poor pickup is your typical MN farm abused truck. EVERY panel is dented. Most are rusted. No air. 4-speed granny tranny. NP205 x-fer. Doesn't run well. This past weekend while out for turkey dinner he said I could have it. My wife (his daugher) just about flipped but I'm thinking for the price - free - how can I go wrong? I can sleep in it right? JK So I'm thinking this truck would permanently retire my mutt 1968/69/70/71/72 K10 from plowing duties. I could leave the plow frame attached year round. Have a truck to use in the winter that I don't care about getting salted up. So ah yes. I am wanting another truck.

Re: Anyone else wanting another truck besides me?
I always WANT more. I already have 4 legal vehicles, 2 of which are classics, and another in the garage awaiting restoration, AND a company work truck.

Re: Anyone else wanting another truck besides me?
I struggle with it also. I only have 1 at the moment (briefly owned another, a 72' 3/4 ton so that I could steal the powertrain out of it)... Every time I nearly pull the trigger on another one I convince myself that the money would be better spent on the current project.
A patina'd 60-66 stepper might change my mind though... |

Re: Anyone else wanting another truck besides me?
Talking about car love a man once said (in a movie) when asked the question if he was the type that preferred cars to women? he responded, "I can appreciate a fine body regardless of make"... So to answer the man's question yes most of the members on here WANT another truck .

Re: Anyone else wanting another truck besides me?
I would love to have another completed truck but I hope Im done with longterm projects if my 72 ever comes back home ,its been in the shop near 19 months .My 74 short stepper will be sold when and if the 72 ever gets done but yes I still look on Craigslist everyday for deals . I downsized 2 classics and still have 5 so Im not very good at not getting more ,although I did have 10 at one time. My wife says I can only have as many as will fit inside my shop plus one in the driveway so I can still squeeze in some more .

Re: Anyone else wanting another truck besides me?
67-72, maybe a 60-66 c20, not gonna go overboard asking for a k20. But id like to find a c20 with no bed no motor and use my motor beds are easy to find. I just want a classic worker. Does anyone know much about the old detroit diesels found in c60s way back when. I found one i want to convince them to give it to me.

Re: Anyone else wanting another truck besides me?
I would love to have another but I've learned throughout the years ONE PROJECT AT A TIME otherwise i spend too much time on one and not the other and nothing gets done besides I dont like leaving classics outside and I have the kids 67 and the pontiac outside(I really need more inside room) and it bothers me. but...If I came across one I couldnt live without....
there was a awesome yellow and white 72 swb cheyenne super posted on cl a year or two ago for 500 bucks it was really late and I figured I'd call first thing in the morning well I was up at 5:30 and it was gone allready Lil' later my buddy called from work and asked if I saw it "yhea i did but its gone allready" till this day I dream of that truck and my buddy and I couldnt beleive what we saw that nite and what they were asking for it. we both get a little depressed when we talk about it.....that would've been one I couldnt live without

Re: Anyone else wanting another truck besides me?
I have a 71 c20 longhorn dark olive green that's in very good condition mostly original that I inherited from my dad and i love the truck. I've used this web site to find out about it and to buy parts. BUT, after 4.5 years on this web site I now want a 71-72 Chevy hotrod turquoise truck, probably a c10. Number 5 from the calendar poll would work just fine. daily driver ,blow the doors off little white cars, cruise in style. Great fantasy!!! Yeah, I'd take another truck.
