I may have 4 left over. I will let you know. She charged me 20.00 for 10 of them. Let me make sure I don't mess any up installing the others.

Re: Resto almost complete!

I dunno know but I'm kinda partial to your "before resto" truck. The "after resto" came out very nice and I like the paint and body work done on it, top notch job on it. Great story behind the truck and I wager that you will enjoy the truck for many, many years to come just as your father enjoyed the truck.

Re: Resto almost complete!

I remember when you posted back when you just received the truck... Incredible work in a short period of time man! That's a great shot of you and your dad sharing a Shiner. Seriously, how did you get it done that fast? How's about you slap together a build thread for us to drool over?

I should do a build thread. We took it down to the frame and it was a lot of work. Last year was a very odd year for me work wise. I am used to working 600+ hours of overtime every year. Last year with COVID going on at peak was an exception. I was still an essential workers but they cut our hours to 4 days a week and 10 hour days. The three day weekends were key for almost the entire year. I would go to my parents house and work on it every chance I got. Also I had a few other things in my favor. My dad is a retired body man of 46 years and he had all the time in the world during the week to work the body which was actually pretty clean to start with. Also I was fortunate enough to have the means to buy any part I wanted when needed. Most people have to wait and save up. Luckily I was in a position to keep moving forward. I am grateful we had a good frame and body to start with and I could not be more pleased with the outcome of it. Hopefully my dad and I can both enjoy this truck for many years to come. I am 39 and have no kids yet and not really planning to at this point and I already have a nephew working me over saying he wants it in the future. Lol! The kid has a good eye. Thanks for all the positive comments and all the help along the way. I couldn't have done some of it without you guys and the knowledge.
