Re: TRUCKS with STACKS; Have you seen them ?

As mentioned they look good on a flatbed, but not sure about any other styles.

This one belongs to one of our Canadian members, Flatbedchev

Thumbs up Re: TRUCKS with STACKS; Have you seen them ?

THANKS FOR THE PHOTOS GUYS; the reason I ask on another board there is a thread about a couple of guys who claim they invented STACKS through the pickup bed (LOL !!!).
_ Anyway they aren't for everyone, everybody likes something different; like the old man told me at church one time, "some like chocolate, some like vanilla". IMO on a C3500 1.5Ton truck with a 1200HP Diesel, I think they kinda fit especially if you don't want all those fumes going straight back into your horse trailer !!!
_ Like I said before the old side pipes use to be the in thing, woodies were a thing, hologram graphics were a thing. Now we even have people driving around with their frame illegally dragging on the high dollar asphalt !!!
_ My point is these guys who claim they invented pickup stacks through the bed, back in 2002 are as full of it as a Christmas Turkey !!! We built stacks out of old Cadillac drive shafts back in the day, and my Dad had 8 straight pipes from the manifold back, coming off an old in-line 8 cylinder. I even think the photo Yukon Jack posted is kinda cool, but again that is in my opinion.

Re: TRUCKS with STACKS; Have you seen them ?

Some things just make ya say hmmm. Not to distract from the stacks but WHY does the white dodge have the international harvester logo in his back windows? That would make sence on a ford with a "powerstroke" engine consitering that engine IS built by international navistar. But even then, international navistar has its own logo, as well. Some sort of gender bending going on there.

Back on the original topic. Stacks are just like anything else. They can be done tastefully, or half-assed. Unfortunaltly more often than not they are a hack job. placement and pipe diamiter are a big factor in the looks.

Re: TRUCKS with STACKS; Have you seen them ?

Here's a pic of a truck with stacks, it belongs to a buddy of mine that I'm sure some of you have heard of him, Norm Grabowski. It's a 37 Ford, I know a Ford but it still looks pretty cool!!

Re: TRUCKS with STACKS; Have you seen them ?

There's a mid 80's dodge crewcab duallie around here that has stacks and no bed at all. Looks pretty cool if you ask me.

Re: TRUCKS with STACKS; Have you seen them ?

all of my grandfathers friends had stacks on their trucks because they owned cattle and wheat fields and didn't want to set them on fire while driving around workin cattle
