Re: NEW bias ply tires
I got two new front 7.00x18's from coker and they look sweet as far as road noise I can't tell because of the 305 v6 with a turbo muffler and 4 speed sounds like a semi truck!

Re: NEW bias ply tires
I put Cooper SRM II 7.50-16 radials on my 62 k20 from tires-easy.com. They look pretty authentic, ride well, and were reasonably priced.

Re: NEW bias ply tires
I have Mt new m-50s. I love the look but want to try a 60s series tire next. They do good, they do track a lil but I'm blaming that on old leaf spring set up. They don't leave black marks hardly at all and they don't wear fast. That being said there prolly not the best for traction but on the street they do great. I'm too young to have used the old bits ply tires much but I actually bought an old original set of m-50s and they are on 14x10 cragars and I used them on my old third gen nova and they looked killer but extended passed the quarter panels so I didn't keep them long. Anyway, Mt makes good bias ply tires if you're looking.

Re: NEW bias ply tires
If you do not drive often and not long distances, I would stick with the bias ply7.50-16 8 or 10 ply. Bias tires generally have a stronger side wall and they don't have the common belt separation radials seem to have. However if the truck will be used more often, I would go with the high quality Yokahama LT, radial, the type 60-66 showed on previous post with the chrome GMC hubcap. It looks like a nice trade off, smoother ride but still has a nice old school tread design. Try to find out the outside diameter measurement before you buy, some manufactures have different diameters for the same size tire. A 7.50-16 or 7.50R-16 should measure approx. 31"-32". IMO, the 235-85-16 metric seems a little too wide for my taste.
