Re: explanation of screen names
my name is ed, and my favorite number is 25, and 2552 is a palindrome of 25, so that's why. also, my e-mail is camaronut2552, so it just made sense to me when i made it.

Re: explanation of screen names
With a wife and three teenaged kids to feed I'm always "Flatbroke" , and I have always been in to some kind of "Racing"
Nothing elaborate, but it works.. |

Re: explanation of screen names
In high school, I rode my bike to school all the time and hung out with a few "bikers" or cyclists as would be properly said....Anyway, I brought some instructions on how to build a potato gun, and to make flames shoot out the tailpipe, anywho a teacher found it, thought I was going to blow up the school..(thought: pipe bomb)...so three hours later of interrogation, parents, and police....it was resolved...so hence how I got the nickname....of course motorcycles have replaced the bicycle. heh.

Re: explanation of screen names
I got the name Odog during football hell week of my freshman year in college. One of the senior recievers started calling me Odog out of the blue. I lived with it for a week or so, then finally asked him what it meant. He said " your BIG, WHITE, AND JUST DON"T GIVE A F***." Then smiled and told me it came from a movie he watched a lot. I was 6'3'' and 295 at the time. All through college nobody knew my real name, I was just Odog, kinda easy to remember now.

Re: explanation of screen names
Chevy(cause that's what I drive) boy (cause my wife tells me I am a perpetual 13 yr old) 55 (cause that's the year I was born) chevyboy55. Besides when I first signed on to the board racefan was taken & I had to think fast & that really hurts when I try that.

Re: explanation of screen names
When I first aguired my '63...I searched for a cool and amazing forum and ended up here. I started my "Project Rock-a-Billy" truck.....so I thought "Rocka"... but needed something else.....So I was listening to old school rap on my XM radio one day and the song 'ChiefRocka' from the "Lords of the Underground" came on....so that's how I came up with that one.....
- - - - Pretty ingenious, huh ??

Re: explanation of screen names
I grew up in the desert, work in the desert, race in the desert, live in the desert and love the desert!
I have been thinking of changing my name lately since it seems to be popular and I recently found out there was already a desert rat here before me. |

Re: explanation of screen names
My user name used to be kobuzz. During one of the board upgrades I could no longer log in. My truck was primer black at the time and everyone used to ask if it was a "ratrod". I just started a new account with ratrod67. I actually hate that name and wish I could have the kobuzz name back. I have that name on every other forum I visit. The green paint and whitewalls came well after I chose the ratrod67 name.

Select....When I signed up for the board I couldn't come up with anything that wasn't already taken. Bud Select happened to be the beer in my hand at that moment.

Re: explanation of screen names
anyone familiar with the old Bellamy Brother's song "Redneck Girl" would understand my name. All I wanted when I was a kid was my Daddy's 71 C10. The song was one of my favorite as a kid.....it just seemed appropriate. Anywhere I have joined since joining here, I use it (or some variation)....before joining here, I was 'chester' on other sites....
