Re: 67 GMC super custom build
Well got all the parts today for the cab rebuild again😠. It will be a while before this gets done but now I have all the pieces. This time we'll get it right. Not using the same body shop. That was a bad mistake.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
I decided I wanted a steering wheel that more resembled the original 3 spoke wheel so here it it. I am going to send it away and have it recast in the red color.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
took a few weeks but got everything done on my a/c box. just have to put the evap core in. I added a pressure switch to help save the compressor if needed. I welded a piece in to look like it came factory with it. the metal pieces got powder coated and the fiberglass i clear coated after a thorough wash. the inside pieces i painted black as the preious owner had gotten overspray all over them.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
more a/c pic's. also took the original fan apart and serviced it. for an old fan it sure has a lot of brush left. back when things were made to last i guess.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
i got a SPID question for you guys. im gettin ready to get chipflyer to make me a spid for my 67. i have added 68-72 truck option to this truck such as cruise, tilt cargo lamp ect. that were only available in the trucks after 67. i will be putting those on my spid i think. now the power windows were not available on trucks (only thing added to the truck that was not avalilable in any 67-72 trucks) till the next body style. would you put them on the spid or would you leave them out.

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
i would leave them out..... but if it bothered me that they arent on there then i would make a bs code for them and say "POWER WNDWS EQ" or something like that to make it seem real.
.....just my 2 cents.... |

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
I think its great to add whatever option you want to the truck but I would leave the label original looking. Better to have someone look at the label in the future and think "man that thing had a lot of factory options" rather than "man look at that fake label with the cheesy options that someone made up" even though other things were added.
Just my opinion, but the label guy will put whatever you want on the label but it costs more for made up options. Great build, good work! Jeff

Re: 67 GMC super custom build
so would you just put the available 67 options it has then or add all the 67-72 options on the SPID.
