Re: Stagger wheel size or not? 18" & 20" or 20" all the way, What do you think?

Yea havent recieved them yet.. Called last week and they said they should be shipping this week.. So maybe next week i'll have them ... Anyone here used Kumo's? my friend said they hook good but not sure how they rate with goodyear or yoko's, they are alot cheaper... I cant wait to get them, i just wish i had a bed, i wanna fit the widest tire i can under the rear.. I thik it will be a 275 or maybe a 285.. I'll just need some good bed measurement from all my 67-72 chevy/gmc friends ...

Re: Stagger wheel size or not? 18" & 20" or 20" all the way, What do you think?

mike,

I called Centerline yesterday and asked them about my order. They told me it plans to ship out on the 27th and takes 5 days UPS ground to DFW. I cannot wait to get mine either.

Here are three pics of two tire sizes I am planing on using. the 245/45/18 & 275/40/20. These are not the actual tires I plan to use but, they are the right sizes. They were pulled out of the rack to get a conceptual idea of what this stagger my look like. I used my camera phone to take these pics

Re: Stagger wheel size or not? 18" & 20" or 20" all the way, What do you think?

Mike,

Do they show up on your pc at home if so there my just be something in the network preventing you from viewing the pics? I am having trouble finding tire options in these tire sizes. the Toyo Proxes 4 is really all that I have found to make a match the Goodyear guy's tell me they cannot do it in the eagle F1's because of the limited availability of the 275/40/20. if I went with a 275/45/20 they could do it but it would create another 1" difference in overall height. The 275/40/20 is just a better looking tire "just my opinion"

Is this the size you are going to go with? All the local guy's around here donot even stock this tire. it is a special order item. The trick is finding a matching set with the 245/45/R18's

No not yet .. I called and they said there waiting on the milling for the 20's?? the 18's are done.... I guess when they told me they were done last week they thought i just had 18's.. The longer i wait the more tempted i am to go with 20's all the way around... I just hope my B/S works out right..... Cant wait to see yours when you get them in... I started to paint my frame tonight so I should be able to have my rolling chassis ready for the wheels since they are taking longer.. Thats one good thing!!!

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

UPS tried to deliver them last week but I was out of town. I called and aranged for delivery on Monday and can't wait to post some pics. Cool thing about Centerline is they told me to test fit the wheels and if it work out I can ship them back at no additional charge as long as I buy another set that will work.
