That's going to be one hell of a truck. Post a link to the build here, I really want to follow some of the info for this swap. I've seen a couple combos on ebay, but I just can't pull the trigger right now.

I think I found my answer:

$700 for a new 3.5 aluminum driveshaft that takes care of the conversioin with no need to mess with the transmission!!!!!

This certainly is the easiest option versus tearing into the tranny just to swap output shafts. Nice score on that combo BTW!!!

Agreed on the driveshaft and sorry bout the 135 miles I miss read and thought 135k not 135 period that really is a good score barely even got out of dealership

Until they make a decently priced stand alone unit to control this trans and not do a LS swap this trans is a no go for most people. I don't think you can call it just a trans swap when it required a new engine to go with it.....

Just ordered this conversion kit to switch from 4WD to 2WD with a slip yoke. Thought I would share the link. $350 for the kit...

Are you going to do this yourself? If so....Get prepared for the Center Support snap ring......It is the stoutest snap ring I have ever ran across!

So I have a question. Drove a truck with that combo while back kinda remember a lag when hitting the throttle with towing a load.

Do this sound familiar? If so, would a custom tune on it bring about more responsive changes?

Posing the question, yeah it may not matter.
