Re: FS: Original AM/FM Radio...
*$185 is below what you see a truck AM/FM go for.
*Commenting on price is against the rules. I asked why no one ever seems to test these before selling.I mean about every one I ever see.It just baffles me,that`s all.Not honing in on Kfreddy. It`s kinda important to know.I see these all the time and pass because the owner doesn`t know condition when it`s just too easy to check.Either it works or it doesn`t.Condition is an important factor to me when deciding on a purchase, right? Also,it`s best to know what you`ve got before pricing and selling.I`d have to check, but that`s prolly a rule, too. It helps avoid all this side talk. There`s a thread right now where a guy who knows his stuff biught an AM/FM off the 67-72 parts board from a member that turned out to not be a truck unit or a 67-72 anything. The sale has been returned and refunded as a result of the discovery made by the purchaser. No harm done in the end. But,why go through all that when it should be avaoidable. All questions can be answered right here on this sight,as we all know. How about a "How do I test a radio out" thread?

Re: FS: Original AM/FM Radio...
It looks like a 73 through 76 Chevy van am fm to me, I just bought to am fm's on ebay, one van for $180 and one real truck one for $305, the real truck ones are bringing more money than the van am fm's obviously, the antenna hole placement is different as well as the numbers on the drum decal and the word delco is different on the plastic lens, give the guy a break, i have a few am fm's lying around and dont always find time to test them all, if no one wants to gamble on the radio, I will buy it, let me know. I figure in another few years you wont even be able to find a van am fm for these trucks!!!!!!!!

Re: FS: Original AM/FM Radio...
Kfredy, would you mind taking the time to test this for the board? you really only need a battery,a speaker and an antenna,or coat hanger. If you would like you could also raise the price because you then would know that it works.

Re: FS: Original AM/FM Radio...
I really didn't mean to trash talk, I'm just really amazed at the value of these things. I couldn't hear a radio in mine on the road anyways, so. . .

Wow, I didn't know the AM/FM were worth this kind of money. Guess I'll keep my eye open for them at the bone yards! Bring some more back to life!
