Really man, that is an awesome job. I can't wait to see it finished. Posts like this one give me motivation to get my own rig finished.

I am interested in your wiper switch setup though. Did you make it?

Are you only selling them or would you share the schematic?

I am making these switches as a kit, but if you want to make your own, below is a link to the FAQ thread that got this all started. I can not take credit for making the schematic. I just made a couple of modifications to mine to come up with a kit version. The switch that is in my truck at this very second is made directly from that schematic. Once I swap cabs, I will rebuild the switch and make it the kit version.

For everyone else, thanks for the kind words. This is a slow process, and to hear my wife tell it....I need a bigger plate. (The one I have seems to have too much on it).
I will be contacting some board vendors at a later time to get some carpet in that thing, too. I have the S-10 weather stripping for it and a few other little things planned that a person might not notice if it isn't pointed out.

I'll keep you all posted as things progress!!!

My seat sure is. Evertime I get in to drive after my wife drives my knees are in my chin. I have to have an adjustment. But not in my Burb or the Model A. She will never drive them. The Model A is too complicated for her to drive. I do not think, well, I should say I know she can not ever start the Model A. She can drive a stick (that is all we drove back in the 60's) but a Model A is work. She has driven my truck before. She would rather drive her jeep. Thats OK with me. By the way, the hood release works great. Love it. You did a great job on it.

How are those suburban seats for leg room compared to the stock seats? and do you noticed if they sit you up higher than the stock seats.. cuz they look really cool and i was thinking about doing the same to my 68..

Leg room depends on your tank. The green cab that is currently on the truck still has the tank in it (running a blazer tank, but never pulled the cab tank out). Leg room there was about he same as my stock seat.
In the Orange cab that is going on the truck soon, the tank is out, and I got a little more room in there because the bottom can slide back more.
With the tank in the cab, the seat is a little higher than the stock one, but is wasn't a big deal. I did bump my knee on the steering wheel a few times, but swapping for a tilt fixed all that!!!!
In the tankless cab, the seat sits slightly lower in the rear (same in the front). Sitting lower gives it a better recline feel and is very comfortable.

GMan and I have taken trips here and there to get parts or just to visit other members and both our trucks have the Suburban seats. You can't believe how much better newer seats are vs. stock.
