Re: Exhaust System questions Any pics of your setup?

Not to put a downer on your plans Andrew, but with your truck being an '87 it will still need to be Etested every 2 years (thanks to the Ontario Government). When I put full duals on my 89 full sized Jimmy, I had the exhaust done by a muffler shop do the work. I just used a pair of universal cats on it and it's passed every time

It seems I was mistaken. It's 1988 and up that need them. The pollution cops (ministry of transport) have been pulling older cars over around here to to make sure all the pollution crap is still on the the vehicle. To me that is just

Re: Exhaust System questions Any pics of your setup?

hey Scruffre! yeah i know "technically" i should still have a converter and maybe some trinkets under the hood.... but i've an 89 and an 88 (in decending order haha) and now this one, my last truck was a 2500 BB but i figured down the road theres no way its gonna pass e-test... So i picked up this truck (also like the older body style aswell) and i've been toying with the idea of building a swapmeet 454. And around here I can't remember the last time I've seen one of our MTO cars move! they've got 3 brand new ones and they just sit in the parking lot... If you're from Sarnia you know what i'm talking about....

Re: Exhaust System questions Any pics of your setup?

If I run headers on my 1986 GMC 305 can I cut out the O2 sensor or do I need to weld in a bung for it? To many questions and not enough time!!!

Re: Exhaust System questions Any pics of your setup?

Here are a few pics of the following. I just finished getting this all installed about two weeks ago. Brrrrr it was cold outside today!

Hedman Elite Headers
Summit crossover pipe kit
Flowmaster 50 series delta flow
All 2.5" pipe

Truck is a 77 short bed with an SM465 and 205. The headers cleared the clutch linkage no problem (I was worried).

Re: Exhaust System questions Any pics of your setup?

And a few more. You should be able to find a local muffler shop to bend up the pipes for you. Ask around and see who does nice work where you live.

Good luck!
