Yep that's right. As soon as this snow melts a little bit more I will start on it.

Straight up! When your in the seat its not bad at all, its just getting in and out is not so easy. It feels like your sitting in a race car, straight up on the wheel! lol!

Man, this truck is begging for an LS1 to complete the vette theme...

And I gotta say, ZQ8 wheels look killer on just about anything!

I know it is, but this is my trash truck and I am trying to keep everything that I am doing plus the cost of the truck under $800. I have about $700 in it right now.

Re: New trash truck

OK guys, here is step by step what to do after you get all the parts out of the door. Take the handle rod out and the lock rod.

(Pic 1)In my first pic you see both rods plus lock and handle, this is what they look like when you first take them out.

(Pic 2)Next pic, you see how I cut the lock rod that is about 2" long and the handle rod that is about 4.5 long. I am saying about because it could be a little different on your truck. Cut them a little long and you can always put a bend in them.

(Pic 3)I have welded the parts together and you can now test fit. Like I said it was take a time or two to get the bends just right so it works nice and smooth.

I also have pics with the plate welded it. You have to take you time so you do not get it to hot.

I hope that helps some of you guys.

Re: New trash truck

Is it easy to open the door with the key? And would it be any different on power doors?

Ya its easy to open as long as your door opened easy before. And it would be the same for power, you just can not lock and unlock your doors with the key anymore. So you would have to make sure you unluck it before you use your key to open the door.
