Re: My finished 68 50TH truck

Very nice job...I love the 50th Anniversary trucks. Did you redo the SPID or is that the original? What type and brand of paint did you use? How many miles on the truck when you started? Where did you get the carpet and dash pad? Do you have pics before you started the refurbishment? How about some more history on the truck.

Thanks for posting.

BTW...let me know if you are ever looking for the original 50th seat cloth...SMS in Canby, OR has the material.

Re: My finished 68 50TH truck

Nice! I love the color combo on the 50th anniversary trucks. That is the original color of my 68 GMC. Some day I want to return it back to original.

Isn’t the factory wheel color actually a grayish/silver color?

Re: My finished 68 50TH truck

I'm also curious to know if that is the original SPID Sheet. Mine has the same font. When I first posted my truck here some people doubt that it wasn't the original.

Re: My finished 68 50TH truck

Well done!

It's nice to see someone putting effort into a really nice stock restoration.

Get those tailgate letters painted so she can wear her name with PRIDE!

Re: My finished 68 50TH truck

That's one of the best examples of the prettiest pickup ever made, IMO.

It's great you didn't feel the need to slam it, put 20s on it, or billetize the engine compartment.

But what's a "CHROME BUMBER"?
