Re: Killed the K20, maimed the Super in 1 day!!!

Another way to look at it, its just a tailgate. Having a dent that big in the bedside would be much more time consuming to fix...

Great looking trucks JQ!

Any chance we can see a picture of the SPID on the 72 SWB Big Block? That looks to be a great truck.

Here's a picture of the SPID. I got Jeff (Chipflyer) to make me a new one adding tilt and buckets and will install it when I restore the truck.

Re: Killed the K20, maimed the Super in 1 day!!!

Very funny!! I've seen the rust option, but don't know the code for major bashing. I finally got the tailgate down today. It was bent so bad that the latch would not work. I put a pry bar on the latch and it would not budge. I had to pry on the strickers on the inside and slightly bend them to get it open. As bad as I hate to see the gate ruined, it was not the one I was going to use when I restore the truck.

Well, that makes "me" feel better. It`s funny...I have feelings for a truck I`ve never met.I guess I`m just a soft touch.

Re: Killed the K20, maimed the Super in 1 day!!!

On the night President Lincoln was shot, Mrs. Lincoln was coming out of Ford’s theater and the press came up to her and ask “Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the show?”

Seriously it’s good to see that you’re taking responsibility(even though it’s not 100% you fault) and moving on and not letting a bad streak get to you.
