Moved some parts around the garage.
wn also installed the gmpp retro fit oil pan, looks close, we'll see how close it is once this thing is down...... ebay headers will need some massaging to work. but nothing major!!!

Re: Project: Tall Grass
I need some specs on those headers if you don't mind. They look like they fit great. Who makes them?

Re: Project: Tall Grass
The headers are low buck stainless peices from DNA motoring on ebay.
they fit, well ok, the passanger side required trimming a bit of the flange off the inpection cover area of the trans, and the drivers side has one tube that is too close to the control arm shaft, but I can massage it to work, but for the price the headers are well built and id buy em again, oh ya they are for a 99-02 F body camaro/ firebird.. cant wait to get home and work on this thing...... and yes Tony, lets get them shoes on your orange buggy, its gonna be one KILLER truck!!!!

Re: Project: Tall Grass
well folks, im headed back to work, with almost no progress, all I managed to do were draw up some upper bag mounts and have them lasered out. I feel bad, maybe ill go out and tack em up before I leave , then ill feel like I accomplished SOMETHING..
why the lack of progress ?? well you see Mr Phat Tony is a bad bad man. Thanks to him , he just had to give me a killer deal on another truck..... here she is, the plans are to get wheels that match, a proper stance ie LOW. scuff and shoot in red satin , and beat on it till the 64 is done, then it can become a nice lil hot rod too!!! witha big aarse cam, high stall , and what feels like 4:11's with a posi, this thing Looooooooooooooooves burnouts, and blowing the doors off ricers..... Thanks again tony, your the man!!!

Re: Project: Tall Grass
Back from holidays.
brought half of a set of wheels home,.......ordered through coys, waited months, sent to shipping outlet 5 hrs from home only to pick up TWO wheels................... blood pressure rising. they claim they are sending the fronts today. claims they " might be 18x9s " instead of the 8's I ordered. Oh well rant over for now, lets hope I cant get this thing rollin soon.. any way heres the rear 20x10!!!

I don't think I'll be looking at Coys when I start looking for wheels. What a headache!

Re: Project: Tall Grass
Brought some parts to work with me, sand blasted and painted the spindles and backing plates.
and the calipers got smoothed out and painted! I know ill wanna upgrade to some bigger cooler stuff later but for now I needed to clean up what I had. Oh yea got the beater sittin a lil better, rebuilt the rear brakes . and recently picked up a rebuilt disc brake front end with drop spindles. ( thanks scott @ Scotts Super Trucks) for a killer price. thatll be goin in soon. Two more nights of work , then some 16 hours of driving, first back home then down to spokane for the goodguys show!!! cant wait !!!
