Re: What use of buzz words makes you go... hmm?
I always get a kick from the ones advertised as factory 4wd and you can clearly see in pics wrong shifters, body lifts on wrong frames or no K letter in VIN. Several times I have went to look at advertised factory shortbeds and found cut shorten frames or incorrect frames. I had a guy once swore to me his was a factory 72 SWB K10 4x4, wasn't far away so I went to check it out. Looked correct in pics, first I checked SPID, seen the CK on VIN (right), then 127" WB (wrong), then back seat listed (wrong wrong). I said I believe you have a 72 shortbed pickup body on a cut 72 suburban 4x4 frame here. He said no way, then we both got down and checked frame, sure enough clearly cut and spliced. He apologized quickly and said he had no ideal and I believe he really thought it was factory. Bad thing is a lot of times when your selling something correct for a higher price than what someone else has similar but incorrect for a lower price, your looked at like your loco. Best to research first, then go look before buying.

Re: What use of buzz words makes you go... hmm?
My truck was advertised as having a "current NH state inspection" even though it had a totally failed rag joint. The steering had some "play" in it when I test drove it but I bought it anyway.
Glad I trailered it home the 50 miles. As you can see by the picture this could have ended very badly. |

The one good thing you have going for you is that you live in C-series rich California... Here in CT. the most often used term I found while searching for a truck was "NO RUST" Well of course not, the rust would often be buried in inches and layers of Bondo. The good news for me is that after a long search I finally found a truck with NO RUST and NO BONDO. A one owner 100 % original Longhorn that was never driven in the winter!

95% rust free. Well, rust all along the lower 4" of the body is about 5% of the truck!
One of the most honest and forthright disclosures about just how rusty a truck really is goes like this, "Good glass".
